The Technekon CTD-1010 Digital Vibration Switch measures the vibration signal, electronically converts it and calculates velocity RMS or displacement Peak-to-Peak in all configured frequency bands. These values are compared with predetermined Warning and Alarm thresholds.

In case any of the calculated values exceeds its threshold, the corresponding relay will respond as an electrical contact closure or contact opening. Staff will be informed immediately about dangerous vibration or machines can be stopped automatically.

Any calculated value can be transferred via a 4-20ma analog signal to the customer's PLC or DCS for continuous vibration monitoring.

HOW IT WORKS

The Technkeon CTD-2160 continuously and simultaneiously collects signals and calculates vibration values for up to 16 frequency bands from all sensor inputs. Calculated values are compared with predetermined Warning and Alarm thresholds. If any value exceeds a threshold, the corresponding alarm or trip relay responds immediately.
